These cards offer a great tool for helping non-verbal children with Autism to learn sign language. The pictures are clear and colorful. Great buy!

My daughter and nephews are learning sign language very quickly this summer thanks to these flash cards.

5 out of 5 stars signing is great when you are two   February 1, 2010

i bought this for my grandson who is two he loves learning new words and every night he grabs his cards and we learn sign together. and through out the evening we play a game of signing. one starts it off and we sign to see if the other one still knows the words. he really enjoys the art of signing even though he has no idea that it is a special way of talking.

4 out of 5 stars Very good   May 15, 2007
Bea (La Jolla, CA)
I use the flashcards with my baby who is 11 months old. We both like them: they are a good baby-book size with nice, simple, colorful pictures. The cards can be wiped off but are a bit thin for baby's hands - he likes to fold and bend them. On the back side one can see how the hand sign is done, which helps me, and my baby also likes to study this. What I don't like so much is how the cards are grouped by topics in each box and that one cannot tell when ordering online which exact words are inside. I found, for example, that in none of the three boxes I bought, there were verbs such as "eat" or "drink" which are words usually taught early to hearing babies. There is only a small number of flash cards in each box that we actually use. I would have prefered to buy one box with cards geared towards hearing babies that includes the most commonly used signs, instead of purchasing three boxes and only use 5 words from each one. For me it was worth spending the money, though, because those few cards we use every day and enjoy it.

3 out of 5 stars It's ok.   September 18, 2008

Wasn't what I had expected. It is good for teaching children. I am an adult and I didn't enjoy learning this way.
